This week I will be discussing Organization & Bedroom Ideas for Minimalist. Even if you're not a minimalist, anyone can use these tips for a cleaner and sleeker room. I am in the process of revamping & organizing my bedroom. I figured why not share some my tips that is helping me achieve this goal. Before I give you my tips/steps, I think its important that you know the benefits of having a Minimalist Bedroom. Benefits of a Minimalist Bedroom I could probably go on for awhile about this, but let me just list a few key benefits:
Here is a few ways to begin transforming your room to chic, minimalist, cozy space! Step 1: Upgrade your sheets from cotton to Linen. Linen is known to be the world’s strongest natural fiber. It is so durable it’s even used in paper money to increase strength! Linen is a natural insulator. It is valued for its ability to keep cool in the summer months and trap warmth in colder weather. Also, linen naturally wrkinles therefore you never have to worry about making your bed perfectly to the T! Step 2: Invest in a White Fur Rug Step 3: Clear furniture Clear, Mirrored furniture makes the best for minimalist bedrooms. Although you can opt out for Solid Black, White, or Wooden furniture. Step 4: 5 Item Floor Limit Only having 5 pieces of furniture or items touching the floor. Usually you will have your bed as one, a side table as two, a dresser or tv stand as 3, the last two are completely up to you! However remember keeping 5 items or less on the floor make for easier cleaning & vacuuming or sweeping the floor. Step 5: No Visible Clothing If you have any shoes, or clothes exposed, hide them! Keep your clothing in drawers, closets, etc. Everything should have its own place. Also if you can limit yourself to one dresser in your room & put the rest in your closet. That will prevent you from hoarding and having clothes everywhere! Step 6: Choosing a Minimalist Bed Frame This is an optional step. If you're looking to really add a difference to your room, upgrade to a sleeker bed frame. The lighter the better. I actually swapped out my Queen size bed for a Full size to add more space to my room. This is also an option if you're not looking to invest in tons of money & could really use the extra space. Step 7: Greenery Plant life makes any room feel natural & clean. Its like the icing on top of the cake. You can go with large greenery that stands from floor to ceiling. You can also go with something more simpler by adding a plant to your desk area. If you're feeling artsy you can add greenery to your walls, almost as if the plant is growing naturally on the walls (heres a photo below) Thanks for reading! Share this post & comment! Xo Lia
